Program Description:

YASA offers adult with disabilities a variety of day services and opportunities using a person centered framework. The day habilitation program supports people in contributing, participating, and becoming valued community members.

We provide a person-centered program that helps develop consumers’ choices and the skills necessary for individuals to learn to become active and participating members of their own homes and communities. Each participant's programs and goals are developed that suit every individual's needs.

All activities and opportunities offered in our program are designed to develop or maintain skills in the following areas:

-Cognitive

-Communication
-Safety skills
-Personal care

-Prevocational
-Money management

-Community Integration

People served in YASA program share the same places at the same time as their neighbors in the community. Part of each participant's day is spent in the community where participants develop a more productive role in society.  Our adults enjoy many activities including bowling, table games, basketball and more. They shop at local supermarkets, patronize local restaurants, make purchases in neighborhood shops, visit museums and use local libraries.

The program operates Monday through Friday, year round, between the hours of 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Supervised transportation to and from the program is provided.
